Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX showcased at LEAP 2024 in Saudi Arabia

The Mercedes Benz Vision EQXX is not just another electric concept in town, and no, it’s not unique because of its tongue-twisting name. The party trick is the EQXX’s 1,000 km range on a single charge. Yup, you read that correctly.

And Mercedes showcased its mind-boggling EV concept at LEAP 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event took place at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, Saudi Arabia, from March 4 to 7. The concept made a fair few jaws drop on the floor.

With a drag coefficient of 0.17, the EQXX showcases a completely new approach to car design. It has curves similar to the McLaren Speedtail but taken to another level here with its extra swooping curves.

The true marvel of the EQXX lies in its powertrain, which can even take power from the sun. That’s right, the EQXX’s roof has 117 solar cells developed in collaboration with Europe’s largest solar energy research institute, which can add up to 25 km of range on long-distance journeys under ideal conditions in a single day. 

Step inside the EQXX, and you'll find a luxurious cabin that doesn't compromise on sustainability. Sustainable materials like cactus leather and mushroom-based fabrics create a luxurious yet eco-conscious environment. The car’s display has a 3D navigation system that can provide a satellite view up to a height of 10 metres. WOW
