French hyper sports car manufacturer Bugatti and its distributor across the UAE, Al Habtoor Motors, proudly presented the one-off, La Voiture Noire, at an exclusive event in Dubai. Following its successful world premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show, the La Voiture Noire is far more than a modern interpretation of Jean Bugatti’s Type 57 SC Atlantic, it is a feast of aesthetics.
“The Middle East has been a very important region for Bugatti. We consider ourselves lucky to have many customers in the region that are so passionate about our brand”, explained Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann. “Therefore, it was a pleasure to present our La Voiture Noire here in Dubai together with our partner Al Habtoor Motors Bugatti UAE, to spend some quality time with our customers.”
Each component has been handcrafted and the carbon fiber body has a deep black hue, only interrupted by the ultrafine fiber structure. The heart of the new creation is the iconic 16-cylinder engine – unique in the automotive world and the peak of the engineer’s art. The 16-cylinder engine with a displacement of 8-liters develops 1,500 PS and 1,600 Nm of torque. Six tailpipes at the rear bear witness to its incredible power and are also a tribute to the 16 cylinders.
With a price tag of nearly AED 70,000,000, the one-off La Voiture Noire has already been sold to a Bugatti enthusiast. It is the most expensive new car of all time and will be delivered by 2021.
