Quick Review

As a large MPV, the Peugeot 5008 has enough space for all your family’s needs.

For 2012, there have been changes to the styling both inside and out. The interior of the car is spacious, and more than capable of coping with a large family. The cabin itself is good quality, though in the back there are some utilitarian plastics. However, there’s space for seven people, meaning as an MPV it fulfills its primary purpose. There’s a staggering amount of storage space with the seats folded down, along with lots of storage cubbies throughout.

For an MPV, the 5008 handles pretty well. There’s decent grip and little under steer, but although the steering is direct, it does lack a bit of feel. However, if you’re considering a 5008, chances are you’re not looking for supercar performance. The 5008 delivers a more enjoyable drive than you might expect from a people carrier.

Engine wise, the 1.6l base engine is underpowered. You can’t expect huge acceleration, but 0-100km/h in 12 seconds about average for a car it's size.

The 5008 is a good car in its segment, but it might be worth checking out the competition. The Kia Carnival is an economical MPV alternative. The Audi Q7 could also be worth a look if you're looking for the seven seats in a luxury SUV format.

If you’re looking for a big, spacious and good to drive MPV, then the Peugeot 5008 is a worthy option for any growing family.
