Quick Review

Fiat has released new models under its Fiat Linea brand, the Active, Dynamic and Emotion cars. These models are intended to gain the company market share and take away from rival models such as the Nissan Sunny or the Honda City.

The exterior design of the Linea is impressive, with the car having a sleek design. However, some drivers have found the quality of the interior plastics to be of a lower standard than they might expect, losing the car valuable points.

On the road, the Linea has a 1.3 litre engine and is capable of doing around 25 kilometers per litre. There are aspects of the drive that are pleasing, such as the lack of noise on the road and the car’s general insulation. However, there are also some drawbacks with the driving ability of the vehicle. Despite this, other functions like adjustable steering rake provide a welcome bonus.

A brief comparison between Linea and Honda City highlights strengths and weaknesses of the former. There are distinct differences between the two. The Linea’s design outmatches its Honda-created counterpart, with a broad waistline paying homage to its Italian heritage, whereas the City looks plainer in comparison. However, the drivability factor and Linea’s interior drawback is taken over by the City’s smoother inside finish.

Linea is a great car in the looks department and functionally is quite competitive with rival brands, though the interiors could be improved.
