No More Lexus IS F to be built

The 2014 Lexus IS F will be built for the last time. No more IS F in the future. It will be replaced with a performance version of the Lexus RC coupe and is set to be launched at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

The power train is a 5.0 liter V8 producing 416 horsepower. Some of its aesthetic updates include LED fog lamps, carbon fiber rear spoiler, black semi-aniline leather trim on the seats, headrests embossed with the “F” logo, and Alcantara trim on the doors and center console.

The Lexus IS F was introduced first in 2008, intending to take on rivals such as the BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz C Class AMG. So say farewell to the Lexus IS F and hello to the Lexus RC coupe.
