Quick Review

The Fiat 500 remains one of the cutest mini cars around. Its snug frame means that it’s a top choice for anyone who lives where parking is at a premium. Its tiny engine makes it nippy and ideal for anyone driving in cities and other congested areas.

The loveable Fiat 500 comes in a range of engine sizes with a top size of 1.4 litres. Unsurprisingly, the engine capacity means this little car isn’t a top choice for anyone who spends a lot of time on motorways or long-distance driving because there are limits to what you can expect from a 1.4 litre engine.

The Fiat 500 has really improved on the safety and reliability front and it comes well stocked with an astonishing seven airbags. And all models are now fitted with child seat mounts. In terms of other options, the basic model will give you power steering and electric mirrors.

Anyone who wants to make a fashion statement on a budget will be delighted with this quirky car. It’s still got a sassy edge and it’s considerably less budget busting than its nearest rivals, the Mini and the Smart car. However, it’s not a realistic choice for anyone who regularly carries adult passengers as there’s not a huge amount of leg room in the back.

Comparable cars for competitive analysis are Toyota Yaris, Chevrolet Aveo and Honda Jazz.
