Continental signs Road Safety Agreement in Dubai with AV Living Lab and Location Solutions

Continental Tires wants to make the roads of UAE safer as part of its Vision Zero goal, which aims to promote safer roads, zero fatalities, zero accidents and zero casualties. The German tire manufacturer’s aforementioned goal is in tandem with the UAE 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and in order to achieve it, Continental has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Slovenian technology company, AV Living Lab, and its official local partner Location Solutions.

With the agreement, the three companies will conduct research to make the roads safer with AV Living Lab and Location Solutions’ AI Driving Hub which can analyze incidents linked to tyre failure to keep road users safe. The artificial intelligence platform will further look to ensure accidents are avoided on the road. That’s not all as AI Driving Hub can also look into psycho-physiological characteristics of the drivers using biometric and sensor data.

The agreement was signed at the EXPO 2020 in Dubai with key representatives from Continental, AV Living Lab and Location Solutions in attendance.
