Continental named Tire Manufacturer of the Year for 2022 at the Tire Technology Expo

Continental has been named Tire Manufacturer of the Year for 2022 by  the international trade magazine, Tire Technology International, (TTI). The German tire manufacturer got this award at the Tire Technology Expo in Hanover, Germany. 

The selection criteria for the coveted award was based on  technological innovations done by the companies to improve product safety and sustainability. An international jury of more than 20 journalists and leading experts from the tire industry declared Continental as the winner of the award. 

2022’s win for Continental means that it has won the award three times in the last eight years - cementing its status as a market leader and leading tire manufacturer. This year’s highlight in terms of innovation was the ContiRe.Tex Technology from Continental Tires which enabled the German firm to replace the conventional polyester yarn in the tyre carcass with recycled yarn obtained from reprocessed PET bottles, further helping it in being sustainable.
