2017 Geely Emgrand X7 Sport launched in the UAE

Off to a roaring start, Chinese automaker Geely launches the highly anticipated Emgrand X7 Sport to the UAE public. Introduced to the market via pre-bookings, the first batch of X7s were sold long before the vehicles touched UAE shores.

Raymond Ma, Group General Manager at Geely’s exclusive distributor Union Motors, attributes the X7’s success to its practicality, affordability, and value-for-money position. The international success of the X7 follows its accomplishment in its home market where over 20,000 units were sold in the month of December alone.

“I believe the launch of Emgrand X7 Sport, with everything it has to offer and its competitive positioning, makes for a superb proposition. The market reception has been quite amazing, with the first batch of units selling sold out and more bookings coming in every day,” said Raymond Ma.

Akin to a popular American SUV that dons the Blue Oval insignia, the Emgrand X7 Sport’s exterior is defined by its masculine lines and distinctive silhouette. Conceived by a team headed by Peter Horbury, the X7 evokes a sense of power and exquisiteness at the same time.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, the 2017 Geely Emgrand X7 Sport is good for 155 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, it channels its power to an All-Wheel-Drive layout for ensuring optimum grip at all times.

The Geely Emgrand X7 Sport is available in four trims, with prices ranging between AED 59,995 for the Advance and AED 79,995 for the Flagship AWD option.
